Registration Terminology Defined
Students should familiarize themselves with the commonly used terms for class registration to ensure they understand the process and requirements.
Students receive a time ticket indicating their specific registration period, which is determined by their classification, based on the credit hours they have accumulated.
Students register through the Mercy Connect self-service system.
Students must resolve any holds on their student account before they can register for their next term of enrollment.
Being on the waitlist for a class means that the class you want to enroll in has reached its maximum capacity, and you have been placed on a waiting list. If a spot becomes available - such as when another student drops the class - students on the waitlist will be offered the opportunity to register within 24 hours of being notified. While being waitlisted does not guarantee enrollment, it gives you a chance to join the class if space opens up before the registration period ends.
As of Spring 2025, all new undergraduate students (first-year and transfer) are required to be financially cleared before the start of the term, adhering to the Financial Clearance Policy. Students who register during the seven-day late registration period are required to present payment in full at the time of registration.
